Get Caught Reading!

During the month of November, Dike-Newell students are getting caught reading. When a student is caught reading, they receive a token and have their picture taken. The photos are posted on our new electronic sign in the hallway.

Students chose a stuffed animal to take home and read to this summer. Practicing reading will prevent summer reading loss.

Preventing Summer Reading Loss

  The Davenport Trust provided funds to purchase books for Title I students to read this summer. Each student completed an order form selecting books they would be interested in reading. The students developed summer reading goals to maintain their reading skills. The books will be mailed to the students in July.
